This is our flag ship training area, climate controlled with a medical style observation deck. In this area we teach the fundamentals for situational awareness in transitional spaces, the importance of decision making and stress inoculation. Philip often refers to this as having 20 levels 1 being entry and 20 being the maximum in stress and critical thinking.
Liberal Tears Scenario Coffee Shop
Sponsored by Liberal Tears Coffee, this is our way of tailoring a scenario for an everyday location someone would visit, a way to teach critical thinking in what most may see as a mundane trip to the coffee shop.
Our combative training building is climate controlled, with heavy punch/ training bags, fully padded floor and walls, knife training and knife throwing area. This was modeled after Dom Raso’s training facility.
Our pistol range is set up in a way we can run 2 groups simultaneously or one group with a maximum distance of 50 yards. We utilize steel targets primarily and also have Bob targets depending on what training is being given.
We have a 100 yard steel rifle range with the shooting benches under cover and set back 25 yards inside our rifle building. This allows us to instruct and shoot without being exposed to the elements and exclude the fatigue that is generally associated with Florida weather conditions.
We use our shoot house to teach the fundamentals of room clearing and situational awareness. Imagine coming home to see your front door open and your family is inside “What would you do?
Our training is tailored to each student. We learn you and your current system, and offer concepts to practice.
Take away the fact that the facilities were top tier and well kept. At the end of the day, that is important, but everything else that made up the place is more important. The material learned was important. Not only can you learn the various material, but you can practice it all. One stop shop. We aren’t even to the best part. The instructors are not only good at what they do but they are also very good at instructing. As an instructor myself I can see the difference from a person that is just good at what they do, and a person can also teach it as an instructor. We still aren’t to the best part. The best part is a combo. That there are a perfect blend of instructors, instructors as students and students. And this not only gives a professional as a student more value, but this gives the regular person looking to advance themselves or themselves and their family more value. AND the community is great. The people are all amazing and genuine. It truly is a #woftfamily. Moments aren’t just a weekend memory, they are lifetime impacts @ w.o.f.t .
This weekend I was able to continue my self-defense journey at WOFT- aka “Tactical Disneyland.” It was a spiritual, metal, and physical challenge, that ties all the different concepts of self-defense together. The Founder of WOFT picks you up on whatever level you are at and brings you to the next step. Whether you are a young bartender who needs to walk alone to your car at 2am in the morning, or a teenager getting something out of your mom’s car at night, or the professional MMA fighter wondering when and how to apply your skills appropriately in any situation. You are paired up with literally the world’s best and get to apply your abilities in real world situations. You cannot be adrenaline sensitive. That’s to WOFT, Dom Raso, Dianna Muller, Josh Froelich, Brett Neddleton, Michael Cullen, Kyle Hinkle, Craig Butterworth, Jeromy Hasenkamp and many others for their input, hard work and dedication in helping me and all the others reaching new limits.
I’m always blown away to see the level of people that you get. Although I don’t think I should be since I have seen the way you do everything. The new building looks SO AMAZING I can’t wait until we come back and visit. I don’t know if I told you but after watching your wife, in I think it was the October class, use the backpack with the panel that your kids carry I started carrying mine with me. I bought it and was just using it for travel but now I added it to my everyday setup. Thanks for everything you do and inviting us into the “family” we love being a part of everything you do and we miss you all.
